Privacy Policy
Timer for Life ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Timer for Life mobile app and this website.
1. Using the app without an account
You can use the app without signing in. In that case your timers and settings stay on your device and are never sent to us.
2. Information we collect if you create an account
- Your email address, and your name if you give one.
- Your password, stored only as a salted hash. We cannot read it.
- Your timers (name, category, icon, interval and timing), so they can sync between your devices.
- Sign-in session records, and basic server logs (such as IP address and request time) used for security and abuse prevention.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or device identifiers.
3. How we use it
Only to provide the service: signing you in, syncing your timers, keeping the service secure and responding to support requests.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers. Data is stored on servers operated by us or our hosting provider, who may process it only to run the service. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Analytics, ads and tracking
The app contains no advertising SDKs, analytics or third-party trackers.
6. Storage and security
Data is sent over HTTPS. On your phone, sign-in credentials are kept in the system's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account data until you delete your account. You can delete it yourself at any time in the app (Settings) or on our account deletion page. Deleting your account removes your profile, sessions and synced timers from our database straight away. Routine server backups, if any, are overwritten on their normal schedule.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing info@timerforlife.com.
9. Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They do not use a push-notification server and need no data from us.
10. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
